The Village of Muscoda is very proactive in keeping the sewer mains in proper working order and clear of debris that may cause backups. Each year the Public Works Department cleans, or "jets", a third of the Village's sewer mains. We are diligent in weekly testing (samples are sent to Davy Laboratories) and reporting to the State Department of Natural Resouces the monthly Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR),the quarterly Groundwater Monitoring reports, and the Compliance Maintenance Annual Report (CMAR).
The Village operates seven lift stations and a Wastwater Treatment Plant which is an aerated lagoon system with three seepage cells.
Sewer charges are based on your water consumption and are billed out monthly and placed on your utility bill.
