Income guidelines for the current WHEAP program year (October 1 – September 30) can be found here. Eligibility is based on your one-month income the month before you apply. Although, if you have had a recent change in financial situation, they may consider your current month’s income.
We encourage all qualified residents to apply. Even if you can afford all your bills right now and don’t think you’ll need the help, it still makes sense to apply now. WHEAP can provide your family with relief and keep you from falling behind in the future. WHEAP also opens the door to emergency programs like crisis assistance and emergency furnace assistance.
