Per Village Ordinance 7-1-3 (and State Statute 174.05 through 174.10), residents living in the Village of Muscoda that own a dog(s) are required to obtain a license once it reaches five months of age, and prior to April 1st of each year there after, or within 30 days of acquiring ownership of a licensable dog. The rabies vaccination certificate is necessary to obtain the license. If you fail to get the license by April 1st, there will be an additional $5 late fee per dog, plus you may be subject to a citation from the Police Department.
The minimum cost per dog: $10.00 - male or female | $5.00 - neutered or spayed
There is a maximum of three animals per household; this is a mix of dogs and cats, Village Ordinance 7-1-18. The Village of Muscoda does not allow kennels.
You may purchase the license(s) at the Village Office, 206 N. Wisconsin Ave., between 8am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
