Proudly Organized by the Village of Muscoda Festival Committee

The Muscoda Morel Fest for 2023 had perfect weather and great attendance.  It had more activities and fun for the entire family.

The schedule of events, times, and places for 2023 are on the Festival Brochure tab   - stop back here for information on 2024's event.  The First weekend after Mothers Day.

Here's what the we had for your family's enjoyment in 2023

This year's event started Friday May 19th with the Second Annual Cruise to the Festival – all modes of transportation attended trucks, cars, ATV's old, new and in between.  – It was located at the paved parking lot next to the Riverdale bus garage.  Jose’s Mexican Food Truck served their specialties and Udder Brothers Creamery ice cream was delicioius.

Two blocks south, at Mushroom Headquarters, the grills were going with American Legion burgers.

Saturday May 20th, the whole Village was bursting with events. The bounce house bounced and pedal tractors pulled and NEW this year was an amazing strolling magician, Tiny Acres Farms Petting Zoo had many awesome animals, there was a Stilt Walker during the parade and hoop dancers  afterward.

The awesome arts and crafts vendor area was always busy at Railroad Park and chainsaw carving across the street produced cute and intricate statues to take home. And there were many Food Vendors at Railroad Park and along the streets.

Village-wide rummage / garage sales were going on Friday and Saturday.

At Mushroom Headquarters, the grills were going for mushroom brats and Legion burgers and fried morels.  The Food and Beverage tasting area included Jody's Sugar Shack (chocolates), Meister Cheese, Moore Eggs, Studnicka Cattle Company, Wild Hills Winery and Spurgeon Wine.  And for your listening pleasure and maybe dancing, live music by the 2 Carls Band.

We had Driftless Area and Local Wisconsin Beer Samples in the patio area of Sportsmen's Lounge.

There were tours of Effigy mounds and a baseball game with our own Muscoda Mudcats!

The parade down main street (AKA Wisconsin Avenue) started at 3:00 and lasted almost an hour.  And after the parade, Native American Hoop dancers danced and sharee their ancient and sacred rituals at Mushroom Headquarters.

The pancake breakfast and a chili cookoff  were busy and the famous Firemen’s Steak Feed at the firehouse sold out in less than 2 hours!

We concluded the evening with fireworks at dusk.
